Everything you need to know about participating in The Bodies Project

What is The Bodies Project?

The Bodies Project is a public photography project created by intimate fine art photographer Michael Doolittle. It’s intended to be a safe space for individuals to candidly share their stories about their relationships with their bodies - free of shame or judgment.

What does each photoshoot involve?

Each photoshoot is approximately 30 minutes to one hour. The session combines a nude photoshoot with an interview. Select photos and parts of the interview are published publicly, thus all participants must sign a model release.

What does it cost?

The cost for the photoshoot is $100 and includes a minimum of 12 digital photographs. Each participant has the opportunity to purchase prints, wall art, or an album following the photoshoot.

What should I bring? And, can I bring a friend or significant other?

You only need to bring yourself, though a water bottle and a snack isn’t a bad idea. I recommend loose-fitting clothes that will not leave imprints on the skin, as there is minimal digital retouching for photos from The Bodies Project. Participants are welcome to bring a friend or significant other to their photoshoot.

Where are you located?

My home studio is located in Midtown Tulsa, near 41st and Harvard. Further details, including directions, will be provided once the photoshoot has been scheduled.
